X Fejezet: Elöljárók

Egy település fejlődése polgárainak szorgalmától, akaratától függ. A közakaratot az elöljáróság testesíti meg, élén az elöljáróság munkáját szervező elöljáróval, akit az idők folyamán neveztek bírónak, tanácselnöknek, polgármesternek. Nem az elnevezés a lényeg,

hanem az, hogy a 230 éve idetelepült svábok gyökeret vertek itt a magyar Alföld kapujában, kivívták az itt ősidők óta élők tiszteletét, elismerését és a magyarság szerves alkotó részévé váltak, büszkén származásukra, őseikre – mert olyan vezetőket választottak, akik érvényesíteni tudták az itt élők érdekeit, akaratát.

X. Kapitel: Ortsvorsteher

Die Entwicklung einer Siedlung hängt von dem Fleiß und Willen ihrer Einwohner ab. Den Gemeinschaftswillen verkörpert der Magistrat, auf der Spitze mit dem die Arbeit des Magistrats organisierenden Ortsvorsteher, der mit der Zeit als Richter, Vorsitzender des Rates, Bürgermeister bezeichnet war. Nicht der Name ist wichtig, sondern dass die hier vor 230 Jahren angesiedelten Schwaben hier am Tor der ungarischen Tiefebene Wurzel gefasst haben, die Ehre und Anerkennung der schon früher hier Lebenden bekamen und zum organischen Teil des Ungartums wurden, stolz auf ihre Abstammung und Ahnen – weil sie solche Vorsitzenden gewählt haben, die den Willen und Interesse der Einwohner immer durchsetzen konnten

Chapter X Municipality

The development of a settlement depends on the hard work and will of its citizens. The will of the citizens is embodied by the municipality, with the superior on the top of that, organizing the work of the municipality. This position had various names like judge, president of the council or mayor, depending on the era.

It is not the naming that counts, but the fact that 230 years ago Suabians settled down here at the entrance of the Hungarian Plain, their work compelled the admiration of people living here from ancient time and that they became organic part of Hungarians. They are entitled to be proud of their origin and their ancestors, because they were able to elect leaders, who could always enforce their interest and will.
